A dozen days from now we will be embarking on a new type of America. Much like the period of the Rockefellers, Carnegies, Mellons and Vanderbuilts, we are now watching a new wave of moguls influence our lives. How this will play out is anyone’s guess. Crypto is skyrocketing yet the world still trades on the good old reliable dollar. While the old guard enjoyed their wealth more or less privately, the new moguls are front and center, tweeting and brandishing their success. We will all watch to see how this affects the mood of the country.
The clash of this distribution will be interesting to see, one where some are worth $400 billion plus and others are working for minimum wage.
But closer to home, our little hamlet continues to enjoy a nice pace, fabulous weather,( apart from the occasional tornado!) civil obedience and a relatively even set of economic markets. Home prices continue to be elevated as buyers adjust to the interest rate climate, and the demand for living at the coast stays steady.
We see more smart remodels, homes are being refurbished that were built 50 years ago, and buyers appreciate buying a quality home with all the right finishes if they have to pay these prices.
