Is right now a good time to buy?
I get asked this question a lot and I’m sure many people think I’ll simply say “yes” since I’m a real estate agent but that question is purely numbers based. When in reality buying a home is a small subset to the bigger life question that surrounds that decision. If you’re planning to buy a home you should ask yourself these questions first:
What are your life goals? If you buy a home does it align with your life goals?
Are you planning to move in 6 months to 1-year? If so, buying right now probably isn’t the best idea.
What’s your job situation? Could you be relocated in the near future?
Are you married or do you have kids?
How long do you plan to stay in Santa Cruz?
Will purchasing a home make your quality of life better?
If you ask yourself these questions, you will find answers that will help guide you in the right direction whether right now is a good time to buy or not.
