What is a non-contingent offer?

What is a non-contingent offer in real estate?

A non-contingent offer is an offer to purchase a property that does not contain any conditions that must be met before the sale can be completed. In other words, the buyer is committing to buy the property regardless of any circumstances, such as the results of a home inspection or the sale of the buyer’s current home. Non-contingent offers are considered stronger than offers that are contingent on certain conditions, as they signal a high level of confidence and commitment on the part of the buyer. However, they can also be riskier for the buyer, as they may end up purchasing a property with hidden issues or losing the opportunity to back out if their financing falls through.
