After some prep work the house went on the market and sold in 4 days for a price that made us all very happy. Tom, Scarlett, and Terry were amazing. Once we hired them and settled on a strategy they sprang into action. I was out of town for the entire process but they kept me in the loop by email, text, and Zoom.

Friends recommended them because Scarlett and Dan found them their dream home after a two-year search! The husband and wife team along with the family are the most honest, upfront salt of the earth high performers in this often dull market filled with a lot of mediocre agents! They helped us successfully sell our is house in under a week! We had to make a cash offer on our new home without any contingencies and close escrow in 30 days and they helped us achieve both objectives. We received two offers in one weekend! They helped us list, stage, advertise, clean up, decorate – complete with vendors (tree trimming, window cleaning, etc) and inspection reports so we were ready to sell as soon as we listed. Their videographer was the bomb and took incredible shots highlighting the home. And the brochures and advertisements they produced were golden. Tom, Scarlett, and Terry were amazing. Once we hired them and settled on a strategy they sprang into action. I was out of town for the entire process but they kept me in the loop by email, text, and Zoom.

The place was cleaned out, fixed up, beautifully staged and beautifully filmed and presented. They knew and hired all the inspectors, contractors, gardeners, cleaners, and provided all the staging.

Tom’s vast experience was also applied to finding the right buyers, vetting them, and making the deal as clean and easy as possible.

While my wife and I had lots of experience purchasing homes, we had little selling them and were a bit wary going into the process. Most of the stories we’d heard about listing agents were not good. And this occurred after, not before, all the poor economic news and interest rate increases in Summer 2022.

If I ever now hear anyone gripe about paying commission to their listing agent that “did nothing” I will shout to the rafters “you should have called the Brezsny’s!” The price of commission was a huge bargain for all they did! The only bad part of the experience is that it’s over, because it was mostly a lot of fun!

Short Version: If you are buying or selling a home in the Santa Cruz area, I fully recommend Natasha as your agent. Long Version: I’m naturally a bit of a cynic. And I don’t have the highest impression of real estate agents. But Natasha was nothing short of amazing. My wife and I are both lawyers and we’ve purchased homes in the past. But the Santa Cruz area and nearby beach communities (Pacific Grove, Carmel, etc.) are so idiosyncratic that even astute buyers/sellers need help to maximize their outcome.

In our situation, we started a broad search to purchase a home near the beach. We gradually worked with Natasha to the point where we were able to narrow our search (and avoid burn out) and Natasha was calibrated to our preferences and constraints. When we identified a good option, Natasha immediately went into tactical mode. She knows the process very well. She knows the likely outcomes of a given strategy, and she works hard to use every bit of leverage to get the best deal for her clients. In fact, I’m certain Natasha saved us a lot of money through her tactical thinking and hard work.

Everybody knows buying real estate can be a long and difficult process. But imagine having to buy real estate in a city that you have never been to. That was the position I was in when my son was accepted to graduate school at UC Santa Cruz and even worse; I only had five months! And complicating that, there was nothing for sale which met my needs.

Fortunately, I discovered Natasha Mingay. Natasha is everything you dream a real estate agent would be. Professional, deeply knowledgeable of the market, experienced, attentive, detail oriented and committed to finding me the perfect property. She returned my calls and emails nearly instantaneously. When she needed to find something out, she did so immediately. I needed Natasha to be my eyes and ears.
