Looking back over the last three decades, the big mystery to me is why so many Sellers choose their listing dates so poorly.  And why so many others with the right intentions, end up missing the mark (and the market) due to their own conspicuous lack of proper prior planning.

Dealing with “stuff ” in your garage, attic, closets and drawers will be the hardest part of selling your home. 1. 87 Hagemann Court

When we were asked to help our client prepare their house for market we knew the house was going to be a winner but it needed some life breathed back into it. Renters had lived in the home for 10+ years and a lot of deferred maintenance was apparent. Working with the homeowner we discussed the best strategy to help them get the highest possible price by getting a new roof, interior and exterior painting, cabinets and banisters painted, new modern light fixtures, new front door, deck repairs and a lot of yard clean up. There were many other miscellaneous items we got fixed as well to make sure the house presented in its best light.

2. 206 Brookside Avenue

This charming house needed a tune up so potential buyers could see just what was so magical about the house. We added a fresh coat of paint on the walls, removed the old and outdated banister railing, changed out the bathroom vanity, refreshed the landscaping, put in new light fixtures and door knobs and that really changed the house’s feel and charm. 3. 3167 W. Ledyard Way

This home had an amazing view but the house needed a lot of updating. The front deck, exterior and interior house paint, driveway, light fixtures, kitchen and windows needed to be updated. Check out the before and after photos below to see the life that was brought back to this home.

4. 533 Isbel Drive

What a beautifully laid out home, lot and location for a home! This home was in the family for many years and when our clients asked us to help them prepare it for market we were very excited to advise on the necessary items to fix up so they would receive the highest possible price. We had the acoustic ceiling removed, new carpet and floors installed, interior painting done, new light fixtures and had landscapers come and freshen up the front and backyards.
